The Life of Lee Iacocca

Lido Anthony "Lee" Iacocca was born on October 15, 1924 in Allentown, Pennsylvania USA. As an industry leader and champion of the "can-do" attitude, Iacocca broke through corporate red tape to get the job done. Notable achievements include:

• During his time at Ford he developed the Mustang and Pinto.

• Iacocca became the President of Chrysler in 1978.

• He was able to secure a loan guarantee in 1979 for Chrysler from the United States Congress.

• In 1985, Iacocca was honored with the S. Roger Horchow Award for Greatest Public Service by a Private Citizen.

• In 1999, Iacocca became the head of the electric bike company EV Global Motors.

• In 2005, Iacocca was appointed as Chrysler's pitchman and coined the phrase, “If you can find a better car, buy it.”

Sadly, Lee Iacocca Passed away on July 2, 2019 at the age of 94. A true father of the automotive industry.
